Angela Hartley accompanied by Nigel

Angela Hartley, mezzo-soprano, gained a Performer`s Diploma in Singing from the Royal College of Music in April 1981.  She has wide experience in oratorio and recital, having performed with orchestras such as the Halle and choral societies in major towns and cities throughout Britain.  Her CD, entitled Angela Hartley sings Bach to Bernstein, covers a wide range of music.

Nigel has accompanied Angela on many occasions over the past 15 years. Nigel has been involved with music all his adult life.  He taught the subject in schools to all age groups from 3 to 18, until he retired a few years ago.  Parallel to his career in education, he has been kept very busy as a performer, equally as a classical accompanist, and as a Musical Director and keyboard player in musical theatre.

Dako Flying Angels

Dako started up in 1895 in Sneinton, training boys as gymnasts. The club is still going strong and its flagship team are known as the flying angels.

The squad twists, turns and flies over a vault – all over the country.

As a team gymnastics club, it aims to develop team spirit and trust. Many of the moves rely on an individual’s faith in someone else’s strength and timing.
